After breakfast, we head for Nubra Valley. Crossing one of the highest motorable roads in the world i.e. Khardungla Pass and some majestic views of trans-Himalayan range, we reach Nubra valley. Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north-east of Ladakh valley. Nubra is also known as the high-altitude cold desert. Evening at leisure or can be spent at the sand dunes if in case we make it on time.
After breakfast, drive to Turtuk Village. The village is very close to the Indo-Pak border and holds immense scope for street & portrait photography. In the evening, we head for Diskit Monastery, also known as Diskit Gompa. Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the valley.
After breakfast, our convoy leaves for one of the most famous destinations of Ladakh region, Pangong Tso. The drive to Pangong Tso from Nubra is very scenic and the team will take multiple stopovers to share some on-field landscape photography tips. Situated at a height of about 4,350 m, Pangong Tso is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Fortunately, the team is expected to reach Pangong Tso in the evening and that’s the best light to capture the lake in your cameras. We stay overnight at Pangong Tso and will share techniques to capture milky way and star trails.
We head for Tsomoriri after early morning breakfast and take a route which is normally not done by many tourists. This is one of the most scenic routes in India and very close to China border. We take multiple stopovers at various spots to do some landscape as well as wildlife photography and reach Tso Moriri in the evening. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m. It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region. Evening is the best time to photograph the lake along with Karzok villagers (natives of one of the highest villages in the world).
We head early in the morning towards Leh via Tsokar valley and may see some rare bird species. We take a quick stopover at the Tanglang La (second highest motorable road). We will have dinner at one of the fine dining restaurants in Leh region.
After breakfast we head for some of the most fascinating places around Leh like Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers and last but not the least, we visit Shanti Stupa to get a bird’s eye view of the entire Leh City.

Note : Please carry winter clothes with you.
It is purely into individuals taste and preferences. It all depends on your comfort and ease of use with your gears which is a matchless asset that you need to carry. However, to give an overview we are giving our suggestions
For landscape and architectural photography, apart from your wide and ultra-wide lenses we would like you to carry a good wide lens. Ultrawide is best suited for dramatic and astrophotography images. For ultra-wide the suggestive lenses will be 14mm and a wide lens of 35 mm. If you want to be too experimental with your shots, never hesitate to bring a fisheye lens which will allow you to make the most of the opportunities, especially whilst shooting inside the monasteries.
For a portrait, and lifestyle photography we would suggest you bring a sharp a prime lens (say a 50 mm or an 85 mm) to make high-quality portraiture. A short or medium fixed telephoto or zoom lens will help you make ‘compressed landscape’ images, abstracts and do candid people or street photography.
Finally, a long telephoto lens (300 to 400mm) will enable images of Wildlife. If you do not have appropriate equipment, there is no need to fret.
