Our cars will pick you up from the airport and check-in to one of the finest hotels in Leh. Lunch will be served on arrival, followed by some acclimatization tips and a detailed photography presentation by Abhishek.

Early morning departure to Hemis monastery for on-field photography session during Hemis festival inauguration followed by lunch at a Heritage house. Evening- Leisure time.

After breakfast, we head for Nubra Valley. Crossing one of the highest motorable roads in the world i.e. Khardungla Pass and some majestic views of trans-Himalayan range, we reach Nubra valley. Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north-east of Ladakh valley. Nubra is also known as the high-altitude cold desert. Evening at leisure or can be spent at the sand dunes if in case we make it on time.

After breakfast, drive to Turtuk Village. The village is very close to the Indo-Pak border and holds immense scope for street & portrait photography. In the evening, we head for Diskit Monastery, also known as Diskit Gompa. Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the valley.

After breakfast, our convoy leaves for one of the most famous destinations of Ladakh region, Pangong Tso. The drive to Pangong Tso from Nubra is very scenic and the team will take multiple stopovers to share some on-field landscape photography tips. Situated at a height of about 4,350 m, Pangong Tso is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Fortunately, the team is expected to reach Pangong Tso in the evening and that’s the best light to capture the lake in your cameras. We stay overnight at Pangong Tso and will share techniques to capture milky way and star trails.

We head for Tsomoriri after early morning breakfast and take a route which is normally not done by many tourists. This is one of the most scenic routes in India and very close to China border. We take multiple stopovers at various spots to do some landscape as well as wildlife photography and reach Tso Moriri in the evening. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m. It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region. Evening is the best time to photograph the lake along with Karzok villagers (natives of one of the highest villages in the world).

We head early in the morning towards Leh via Tsokar valley and may see some rare bird species. We take a quick stopover at the Tanglang La (second highest motorable road). We will have dinner at one of the fine dining restaurants in Leh region.

After breakfast we head for some of the most fascinating places around Leh like Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers and last but not the least, we visit Shanti Stupa to get a bird’s eye view of the entire Leh City.

After breakfast you submit 3-4 of your best shots. Abhishek will review the images along with sharing post-processing techniques to enhance your images. In the evening, you all are free to explore the local Leh market.

Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board the flight back to your destination. The epic journey ends with mesmerising memories and some stunning shots to flaunt on social media.

As a photographer, whether you are a portrait lover, or a street explorer, or a wanderlust or a landscape explorer or even be it an astrophotographer you can be a part of this expedition. Apart from your interest, you need to have a basic level of fitness to withstand the climate. In case you are having specific issues say like chronic altitude, sickness or some allergies please consult your physician and get their consent before signing up for this expedition.

Though the expedition is planned during the best season to visit for Ladakh, the weather plays a crucial role over here. The average temperature is around 10-15 ° Celsius where it goes lower in the night.

As you will be staying in the high-altitude regions for more than a week you are expected to meet the basic fitness needs.

Of course, you can. This expedition comprises of the blend of a novice as well as professional photographers which gives you sheer learning in the diversity process. All you need to do is be a part of this co-learning environment where you can fetch it as a massive learning opportunity from Mr Abhishek Singh. However, in order to gain the maximum from this expedition, we would suggest you to be familiar with the fundamentals of photography.

Although the snow leopard is very much an inhabitant of the regions we will be visiting, a sighting of it is highly unlikely due to the time of the year and the altitudes we will be restricting ourselves to. Also, since this is a landscape and culture photography Tour, our pursuit of wildlife will be minimal, and most wildlife sightings only incidental.

Whether you are seeking your career in Photography be it fashion or travel or be it portrait or lifestyle or street or candid or Astro you can be the part of this expedition, capture diversified range of images and fill up your digital assets.

If you are a hobbyist, wanderlust, creative artist, cinematographer or an art seeker you can come and join this expedition.

This is a must join the expedition for all landscape and HDR lovers as the experience that you may get over this the expedition will be paramount.

The mandatory things required for the expeditions are:

  • Camera
  • Tripod
  • Laptop (preferably with photoshop or lightroom)

Note : Please carry winter clothes with you.

It is purely into individuals taste and preferences. It all depends on your comfort and ease of use with your gears which is a matchless asset that you need to carry. However, to give an overview we are giving our suggestions

For landscape and architectural photography, apart from your wide and ultra-wide lenses we would like you to carry a good wide lens. Ultrawide is best suited for dramatic and astrophotography images. For ultra-wide the suggestive lenses will be 14mm and a wide lens of 35 mm. If you want to be too experimental with your shots, never hesitate to bring a fisheye lens which will allow you to make the most of the opportunities, especially whilst shooting inside the monasteries.

For a portrait, and lifestyle photography we would suggest you bring a sharp a prime lens (say a 50 mm or an 85 mm) to make high-quality portraiture. A short or medium fixed telephoto or zoom lens will help you make ‘compressed landscape’ images, abstracts and do candid people or street photography.

Finally, a long telephoto lens (300 to 400mm) will enable images of Wildlife. If you do not have appropriate equipment, there is no need to fret.
